Product information epoxy resin

  • All products are handmade or hand-finished and designed by me with lots of love.

    Material:
My items are made of resin or epoxy resin. I use only high-quality German resins. Epoxy resins consist of a two-component system (resin and hardener). Simply put, when you mix the two components, a chemical reaction occurs that hardens the resin. This is not glass.

  • • Each piece is unique, so color variations and patterns may vary. Resin always does what it wants and rarely what the artist intended. :)
    • As with everything that is handmade, small irregularities may occur in the pieces; this is not a reason for complaint.
    • Small air bubbles, protruding particles, or small streaks on the surface are normal. This is not glass, and the surface is not mirror-smooth.
    • The items are heat-resistant up to approx. 70 degrees.
    • The products are not suitable for dishwasher, oven or microwave.
    • The items are not food safe.
    • Please do not use as a cutting board. These items are not scratch-resistant.
    • Please keep away from small children and store as flat as possible. Although the edges are sanded, some sharp spots may still be present.
    • The backs always look completely different from the front.
    • Please protect the items from direct or excessive sunlight
    • Edge paintings may fade if used improperly

  • Please only polish with a (damp) microfiber cloth, do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents.

  • I only use high-quality epoxy resins made in Germany with UV stabilizers that prevent the resin from yellowing. However, resin can yellow over time if it is constantly exposed to direct sunlight. Therefore, I would like to ask you to protect the items from direct sunlight.

Product information cast ceramics

  • Each of my products is handmade and can therefore differ slightly from the sample photo. They are unique pieces.

My products are lovingly cast by hand. Despite careful work, small air pockets, shadows or minor imperfections can occur and make each piece unique.
Holes/air bubbles or unevenness are therefore not grounds for complaint.

All my items are suitable for indoor use only!

  • Please only clean with a damp cloth if necessary.

Product information candles

  • The most important thing for a long and fragrant candle life is the minimum burning time. The candle must burn until the entire surface has melted. If you put the candle out before then, a "tunnel" will eat into the candle. This shortens the total burning time of the candle to a fraction, as all the wax remains on the edge of the candle. In the worst case, the candle will not even burn properly at all.

In addition, the candle should not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. After this time, let the candle cool down until the surface has hardened again. This way you can shorten the wick before it starts to produce more soot. It is also better for the distribution of the fragrance ingredients if the candle is not left to burn for too long and is instead lit again. The surface of the candle that has already been warmed up always smells a little less intense than the new wax. This is because some of the fragrance oil has already escaped due to the heat.

  • Before lighting, you should shorten the wick to 10mm. This reduces the formation of soot. The length of the wick influences the size of the candle flame.

Be careful not to cut the wick too short. If the wick is too short, the flame will be too small to melt the entire layer of wax. This will result in tunneling again.

The charred excess length can be easily removed by hand. Wick scissors are not necessarily necessary.

  • Please don't blow them out, but smother the flame. There are candle snuffers for that. It's a small bell that you put over the wick until it goes out. Alternatively, you can use something non-flammable to seal the glass until the candle goes out.

  • Location:

Place the candle on a flat surface so that it burns evenly. Make sure there is as little wind or draft as possible. Air movements can also cause the candle to burn at an angle and irregularly. The same applies to other candles that are placed too close together. Therefore, a minimum distance of 5cm from other candles is recommended. Please avoid extreme heat in summer and instead look for a shady location.

    Safety instructions:

    1. Never leave a burning candle unattended
    2. The candle gets hot. Always place the candles on a suitable, heat-resistant surface.
    3. Never move a burning candle. Before lifting, make sure the candle is extinguished, the wax is solid and the candle is cold.
    4. Avoid burning the candle near open windows or air ducts.
    5. Keep the candle away from children, pets and flammable materials.

  • Yes. Please remove all decorative elements before lighting for the first time. The candles are manufactured in such a way that the decorative elements cannot be ignited, but shipping can lead to unwanted shifts within the candle. Therefore, please play it safe and remove all flammable decorations.

  • Sure. You can wash out the glasses after the candle has burned down and use them to store small items such as jewelry or for tea lights and other candles.
